Horizon Solutions was founded in 2002 by Eugène Kops en Johan Wentink. Both founders have approximately 20 years of experience in various sectors of the energy market. In January 2006 Eric Stutterheim joined the team of Horizon Solutions. Also Eric has been working over 20 years in the same line of business.
Eugène Kops started his career as policy employee feasibility studies at the Brabants Projectbureau Warmtekracht. Subsequently he accepted a job as Sales Engineer at Deutz. In this job he was responsible for the sales of Turn-Key CHP plants based on Deutz gas engines. Form 1996 until 1999 Eugène was Sales Manager Medium Scale CHP at NEM. In the period of 1999 until 2001 Eugène started, for the Royal Econosto Group, a project department for the realisation of Turn-Key (durable) energy conversion installations for the housing and utility market.
Eugène Kops studied at the HTS, section werktuigbouwkunde. He complemented this education with a study CHP power plants and with various courses in the area of energy advice, sales, marketing and management.
Johan Wentink started his career at Stork Ketels as project manager for boiler house modifications. Subsequently he accepted the job of Head Proposals Medium Scale CHP at NEM. In this job he was responsible for the basic design of various CHP power plants in the range of 5 - 50 MWe. Johan continued his career at the Royal Econosto Group, where he founded, together with Eugène Kops, a project department for the realisation of Turn-Key (durable) energy conversion installations for the housing and utility market.
Johan Wentink studied at the HTS, section Technische Natuurkunde. He complemented this study with various courses in the area of energy advice, energy savings, environmental issues and (project-) management.
On January 1, 2006 Eric Stutterheim joined the team of Horizon Solutions. Eric started his career at GTI Industriële Service as maintenance & service engineer for HVAC and CHP installations. Later he performed, within the same company, the position of electrical and also mechanical engineer for CHP plants.
Eric subsequently joined NEM as proposal engineer. Next he accepted the job of project manager at Van der Beyl. After the take-over of Van der Beyl by Itho Eric accepted the position of product specialist heat pumps within Itho-van der Beyl.
Eric Stutterheim studied at the HTS, section Algemene Operationele Techniek. He complemented this education with a study CHP power plants, commercial engineer and various studies in the field of PLC's and (project-) management.
